Lateral Buckling of Subsea Pipelines Triggered by Sleeper with a Nonlinear Pipe–Soil Interaction Model

چکیده

Buckle-initiation techniques, such as sleepers, are usually installed to trigger lateral buckling at pre-designated locations release the axial compressive forces induced by thermal loading. Taking nonlinear pipe–soil interaction model into account, a mathematical is proposed investigate of subsea pipelines triggered sleeper. The numerical solution validated comparing with solutions in literature, and shows good agreement. discrepancy between them analysed presenting effect mobilisation distance during buckling. influence breakout resistance, sleeper height, friction coefficient on buckled configuration, post-buckling behaviour, minimum critical temperature difference discussed parametrically. results show that deformation pipeline shrinks, both maximum stress along enlarge when incorporated. However, reduces increasing height.
